About Invesco Mutual Fund
Invesco Mutual Fund is run by Invesco Asset Management (India), the Indian arm of Invesco Ltd, a major US-headquartered global asset management company. The fund house was previously a joint venture called Religare Invesco before becoming wholly Invesco-owned.
Ownership and Heritage
The AMC originally operated as a joint venture between Religare Enterprises (holding 51%) and Invesco (holding 49%). In 2015, Religare decided to exit the mutual fund business entirely, selling its 51% stake to Invesco, which took its total ownership to 100%, and the fund house was subsequently renamed to drop the Religare name and operate purely as Invesco Mutual Fund.
Fund Range and Approach
Invesco Mutual Fund offers a scheme range across large-cap, mid-cap, small-cap and flexi-cap equity funds, debt funds, and hybrid schemes, drawing on Invesco's global research capabilities as one of the larger independent (non-bank-affiliated) international asset managers with an India presence.
Who Should Consider Invesco Mutual Fund
Investors interested in a wholly foreign-owned AMC with global investment research backing, and who value that Invesco has operated continuously (first as a joint venture, then as sole owner) in India since the 2000s, may consider Invesco Mutual Fund's scheme range.
Comparing Invesco Schemes With Other Fund Houses
When comparing an Invesco scheme against alternatives, check the historical CAGR across multiple periods and expense ratio versus category peers - and note that older scheme history from the Religare Invesco era continued under the same brand transition without a scheme-level merger, unlike some other AMCs that changed hands via acquisition.
Checking a Scheme's Risk-o-Meter and Category
Every Indian mutual fund scheme is required to display a standardised risk-o-meter (ranging from "Low" to "Very High") on its factsheet, reflecting SEBI's categorisation rules for that specific fund type. Checking this alongside the scheme's exact category label - not just its name - is a quick way to confirm a fund actually matches the risk level you're comfortable with before investing.
Reading the Scheme Documents
Before investing in any specific scheme, it's worth reading its scheme information document (SID) and key information memorandum (KIM), both freely available on the AMC's own website - these spell out the exact investment mandate, risk factors, benchmark, and exit load in far more detail than any summary page, including this one, can provide.
Costs: Direct vs Regular Plans
Invesco schemes are available as Direct Plans or Regular Plans. Use the Expense Ratio Impact Calculator on this site to estimate the long-term rupee difference between the two.
Checking Fund Manager Continuity
Before relying on an Invesco scheme's published long-term returns, check how long its current fund manager has actually run it - a track record is most meaningful when the same manager or team delivered it. Each scheme's official factsheet, available on the AMC's own website, shows the current manager and their tenure, along with the scheme's exact benchmark and category classification.
Investing With Invesco Mutual Fund
Every scheme tracked on this site shows live NAV, computed CAGR and absolute returns, and expense ratio, sourced from AMFI India and MFAPI - see the scheme list below, or open any individual scheme's page to project a SIP or lumpsum investment using its own historical performance and current NAV.
